The Three Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside are among the best-known hills in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Every year thousands come to reach the top of at least one or to conquer all three in one go.

With spectacular scenery and fantastic walking opportunities, this is a great place to spend a few days, staying in the area and soaking up the scenery.

Cycling / Motorbikes

Whether you’re a first timer wanting to get to grips with mountain biking or a lifelong cyclist looking for more of a thrill, Dales and Trails has you covered. The Yorkshire Dales has long been a hotspot for avid cyclists with many well-known routes, why not try an extended version of the Settle Loop while you’re here?

Sleep well knowing your precious motorbike and all of your equipment is safe and secure at our dry storage facility. Well rested, you’ll be able to hop on your bike and explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland, and the Lake District, all in easy reach from your home base in Settle.

Rock Climbing & Abseiling

Thrill seeker? Rock climbing and abseiling are brilliant ways to get the adrenaline pumping, whether you’re a complete newbie or a seasoned pro. Experience the thrills of gliding down some of North Yorkshire’s many rock faces, with guided sessions hosted by Craig and Sam from Saaig Outdoors. Between them, Craig and Sam have more than 20 years of experience along with Mountain Leader and Climbing Instructor qualifications.

Yoga

After taking part in some of the other activities available to you, it might be a wise move to wind down and relax your body and mind with a session of yoga. An excellent way to destress, it’s also a superb exercise for building strength, flexibility, and mobility. The experienced and qualified Brooke of Brave Yoga offers classes for all ages and abilities.

Horse Riding

Why leave your trusted stead at home when you can enjoy a holiday together? Explore the miles of bridal ways directly from the site in this beautiful part of the world by day, and return to the site for fun around the camp fire together in the evening. While you camp under the stars your horse is welcome to graze right beside you in the field. Subject to availability, we have stables on site should you require a roof over their head.
